Magnetic Particle Inspection

Magnetic particle inspection is a maintenance examination method of locating and revealing discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials, at or near the surface, and those too small to detect with the naked eye.

This technique may be applied to raw, semi finished or finished materials. In weld applications, this technique can reveal defects such as cracks, incomplete fusion, undercut, and porosity.

This technique is particularly valuable under circumstances where ultrasonic or radiographic techniques cannot be used.

Our magnetic Particle (wet, dry) inspection instrumentation is as following:

  • 1 6000 Amps Magnaflux wet bench

  • 1 AC/DC Yoke

  • 1 Demagnetizer

  • 1 Gauss Meter

  • 1 Field indicators, test rings, etc.
