Bess MTI conducts corrosion studies for industrial applications and fundamental research in our Corrosion Laboratory. Our corrosion experts simulate the environmental conditions in which the material of interest is exposed to short- and long-term conditions at variable temperature, harsh environments, UV, and humidity. Immersion, and dc and ac electrochemical experiments are conducted in order to find reliable corrosion mitigation solutions.
Our facilities are equipped with a wealth of metallurgical, mechanical, chemical tests to investigate corrosion phenomena such as stress-corrosion cracking, fatigue, hydrogen embrittlement, pitting, weld failure, plating failures, among others in all sectors of the industry, utilities, medical, and transport, among others. Our state-of-the-art X-ray radiography, metallography, SEM/EDS, chemical, physical analysis are among the capabilities mostly used in our practice.
